DR.ARUN’S PHOTOGRAPHY AND VINTAGE CAMERA MUSEUM
Dr.Arun’s Photography and Vintage Camera Museum, Kovalam.
This is India’s first Photography and Vintage camera museum, and houses more than 1500 vintage cameras.
The oldest camera is a 1870 field camera and the largest camera is 8feet long and 5 feet tall.
A lot of history of cameras and photography is written and displayed esthetically in the museum.
There are also a curio shop and a lecture hall where a lectures and Basic photography workshops are conducted for school and college students.
There are also photography books and magazines that are more than 80 years old and also cameras specially made for use in WORLD WAR TWO FIGHTER PLANES. It is almost impossible to see so many rare cameras in one venue.
It is a place where students will see and experience the wonderful history of photography and will also be able to appreciate how todays photography has evolved.
